Hippeastrum (Amarylis) bulbs

Big beautiful hippeastrum flowers are a long time favourite of mine. 'Forced' to flower in warm inside conditions for Christmas in the Northern Hemisphere, they naturally flower between December and Februrary in Australia. This makes them one of the few flowers to be blooming at the same time in both hemispheres!

Factoid aside - their red and white colourings make them a great flower for the festive period. Plant in a pot and bring inside for a pop of colour. They also look great on veranda tables or on a patio.
