Dahlias
It is still cool here and we didn't experience the heat waves of last week. In fact the last three nights have produced frosts (rare for us). This is slowing the big tuber wake up!
Tubers are currently at 20% with waking or awake eyes.
We aim to complete shipping to Queensland by the end of September.
NSW, SA, VIC and ACT (in that order) will receive orders from the start of October until the end of the third week of October.
Occasionally to fulfil an order there will be a range of tubers that are awake, waking, or with a dormant but visible eye. We suggest you store tubers with waking and dormant eyes in a box in slightly damp sawdust or potting mix until the eye is awake.
We expect to hold our Spring Dahlia Sale in late October to early November. Those tubers will ship immediately.
While you are waiting for your tubers - focus on your planting area. Add compost to your beds, clear weeds, test irrigation, find your stakes or other support system. Good prep work really helps grow great dahlias.
Chrysanthemums
We have shipped 70% of orders. If you haven't received your order it is because either you have asked us to hold it or because there is a varietiy that we have needed to re-propagate. We are currently reshooting cuttings of:

We expect these plants to be ready in the next fortnight.
We will hold a Spring Chrysanthemum Sale in late October for immediate shipping.
