Collection: Chrysanthemums

I hope you fall in love with Chrysanthemums as much as we have. When we talk about heirloom chrysanthemums, we mean the type of ‘mum’ not generally available in florists. Some are very old varieties that have been kept alive by enthusiasts, others have been bred more recently but share a similar vintage aesthetic. All make wonderful cut flowers and garden plants.

Check out our blog for hints and tips on how to grow or head to our book, Secrets from the Flower Farm for more in-depth information.

Happy Growing!

_____________

Quickly winning our hearts and brightening our gardens as the dahlias fade in late autumn, Heirloom Chrysanthemums are very different from the standard 'mums' available in traditional florists. Chrysanthemums are grown each year from cuttings; this protects the vigour of the plant and reduces the chance of pests and diseases. However once you have some 'mother' plants, you can take your own cuttings and quickly build your collection.

To grow, simply plant your rooted cutting in a pot (8 litre or larger to grow there all season) or plant in the ground once the risk of frost has passed. We will send you a link to growing information with your order.
