We are now shipping out your dahlia orders - this is earlier than our predicted October to November window. Please store the tubers until the conditions where you live are suitable for planting. In slightly dampened potting mix or sawdust works well for us. Keep checking and adjust the moisture levels to keep the tubers in good condition then plant out once you are ready and the risk of frost is over.

The tubers are looking great this year - a bit larger than I would like (expect some big tubers!) but they've stored well. There is a wide variety in how 'awake' the tubers are. We won't ship until there is a visible eye (this may be a tiny circular swelling on the crown, a clear purple/white fleshy eye or even a shoot). 

If there is a tuber variety in your order that is fully asleep, we will hold your order until it is ready. Don't worry if you ordered on the day the sale opened and still haven't received your order, we haven't forgotten you but are needing to wait until the tubers wake. We will ship your tubers as soon as we can.
