Dahlia Dig and Divide Workshop

Have you loved seeing dahlias this summer in bouquets, on instagram and at weddings. Would you like to learn how to start growing your own dahlias?

In this winter workshop on the flower farm, you will learn:

• how to grow these popular flowers
• how to lift, divide and store the dahlia tubers
• when and how to plant your over-wintered tubers in the spring.

We will demonstrate jow to dig and divide a clumps.

Then it's your turn:

• practise dividing your own clump of tubers
• dig them from the ground
• divide and pack your tubers ready for storage.
• learn how to collect dahlia seed
• learn how to take dahlia cuttings

You will go home with your box of dahlia tubers (that you have divided yourself) so you are ready to plant out when spring comes.

Come wrapped up for the elements, this workshop will take place outside and on the cottage veranda.
